About

I am an exercise enthusiast. I grew up playing sports, hiking, biking, and running.  I have participated in almost every form of exercise out there, from kickboxing and step aerobics, soccer and tennis, snowshoeing and cross country skiing, hiking and mountain biking, spinning and running, Crossfit, bootcamps, yoga, Barre and Pilates.  I love to shake up my fitness.  Variation in exercise keep me interested, focused, and challenged.  After a career change, my passion for fitness and health deepened as my children grew older.  I began taking Pilates classes and found my calling, and soon after I began my instructor training through Balanced Body.  I am trained to instruct Pilates on Mat, Reformer, Chair, Barrel, and the Tower/Cadillac.  During my Pilates training, I became a Certified Spin Instructor and taught Barre and Pilates at a local health club.  In the fall of 2014, I became a certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise.  For me, exercise brings balance, energy, strength, endurance, and the opportunity to challenge myself. 

Madrona Studio is a small studio which offers classes, group, semi-private and private personal training in Bay View, Anacortes, and throughout Skagit County.  The Studio offers a few daily classes at our Bay View site.  Classes range from Spin, Circuit Training, Kettle Bells, Barre, and Mat Pilates.  Personal Training is offered on-site at Madrona Studio in Bay View, off-site in a private studio near Anacortes and throughout Skagit County.  Madrona Studio is able to provide equipment for off-site training or will train on client's equipment.  From beginning Pilates, to post surgery rehab, to first time exercisers, to sport specific personal training, Madrona Studio is able to meet your fitness needs and goals.
